Monday, March 29, 2004 NEOCD/SDL DC Posted by
Darksaviour69 @ 15:44
Ian Micheal posted over at IMRtechnology I started porting the NEOCD/SDL to the Dreamcast and this emulator is in the early stages of production. The Original NeoCD(DOS Version) is by Martinez Fabrice, and The NEOGEO CD SDL port was done by Fosters (SDL portions written by Fosters(2001, 2003). There is no sound yet in this beta. Dreamcast Port (equal credit) : Ian Michael, Fosters, Troy Davis (GPF), BlackAura, BlueCrab
Main Issue: ANALOG STICK The stick is SUPER SENSITIVE!! Only the smallest of movement is needed. In other words: you CANNOT just push hard in any direction. If you do that, it will fail to work. If you cant stand the super sensitive analog stick controls: use the keyboard.
Puzzle Bubble is fullspeed!

Tuesday, March 2, 2004 Programmer shortage at EA Canada Posted by
TheGypsy @ 13:56
[I'm bumping this to the top again since EA is still actively searching for coders, and I therefore find this fairly important for many of our readers. Put a resume in there, people!]
It seems that despite producing some of gamedoms most beloved titles such as FIFA, SSX, James Bond 007 and Need For Speed, EA Canada just can’t find enough talented programmers, designers and technical specialists. EA Canada is located in Vancouver and doesn't usually have problems arranging work visas. Anyone fitting the bill and is interested in career progression, variety and attractive compensation all within driving distance to Whistler should click here for more info.
